With Dead Man’s Dance (Dawns y Gŵr Marw) ALAW have not only created an impressive follow up to their 2013 debut, they’ve surpassed the brilliance of Melody with an even more invigorating, wider-ranging exploration of Welsh poetic and musical traditions. It is an inspired and unique album.

The annual InterCeltic festival have announced the names of the artists performing in Porthcawl in March. Among them is RURA from Scotland and Jamie Smith’s Mabon from Wales.

We catch up with our Artist of the Month, Jamie Smith’s Mabon, who are part-way through a very busy tour schedule. Jamie talks to Neil about the concept and inspirations behind their new album ‘The Space Between’.

Jamie Smith’s Mabon are performing at festivals in Wales, England, Scotland, The Isle of Man, Brittany, Belgium and Borneo! They are also headlining the first ever Festival of Folk at the Welsh Proms.
