    Default Hello from Banbury

    Hello all,
I joined this forum a short while ago having been lured by the friendly atmosphere.
I moved to the South Northants area about 12 years ago from the Cheshire area. I met my husband , Stuart at Sandbach folk club in 1982 ,we formed a duo,and we had great fun playing clubs and festivals in that area.We had a break once our 2 daughters arrived.
On moving to a village near Banbury we were made very welcome at banbury folk club and started to play gigs again. The girls started to come to along occasionally and join in by singing harmonies when they felt brave enough. Now we play as a family band "The Tindalls". It has been a fantastic experience to play as a family and we feel very lucky to be able to do something like this together while the girls are young. We have met some truly wonderful people along the way ,who we now count as "family"and love dearly.
What more can I say? The folk world is a great place to live!

Hi Paula, and welcome to the forum, and the very friendly atmosphere.
As you may well have read, we've just had a "gathering" of some of us folkies from the forum, and it has been fabulous, and has included kids from just a few weeks old to over 60. Great fun.

It's brilliant that you sing as a family, I am envious!

Keep up the good work, and maybe we'll meet up at some point.

For the other forum members, here's the website

    Cheers,

    Bob

Hi Paula and welcome to the best folkie spot on the Net.

I think we've already crossed paths, Crediton Folk Weekend? Don't ask me which one, they all tend to blur into one long golden memory;)

    Hey, Paula!

Welcome to FRUK. I'm so far away I can only look on in envy at most of the festivities, but it's a great way to get them second-hand.
