'money' by Pink Floyd.
... I need cheering up (big time) A couple who live couple of hundred yards away have just won £45.5 million on the Euro lottery - her sister lives next door but one. They are nice people, but it has just sunk in that given the proximity it's highly unlikely to ever be me in the future (a lottery win was my pension plan!)
I dont think "one in a million" will get on my play list so what do I listen to to lift my battered spirits.
Icon is rather appropriate - green and crying :cryin:

They must find it difficult, those who accept authority as truth rather than truth as authority.
There, there, ducky. It is not likely to be any of us, either, so you are in awfully good company! And just think, that has spared you from having to spend a pound slavishly, every week and you can spend it on something else, instead - some more music, perhaps?
Be nice to them - I read somewhere that it was a real shock to new winners that so many people of their accquaintance were resentful - everybody's friend one minute, rich and unpopular the next...
I would quite like to be rich and unpopular for a week or two....
'Music with the bark still on it!' Tom Paxton about Woody Guthrie.
Awww poor lovely. They live miles away from me and since your logic seems to say that increases my chances to win hows about I give you a million but I manage it? Does that cheer you up????
If not have you tried chocolate or booze????
I think i shall maintain the "poor but happy" existance that is the norm. As an aside we had 5 knocks on the door last night from reporters wanting to know where Sue (the sister) was, when she moved in, boyfriends name etc. etc. Sun & Mirror were two names that were quoted. I am not normally rude, but found it quite easy on this occasion............:nono:
