Wish I could, but I have to be elsewhere for a family commitment. Would've been nice to meet you all.

    Have a great time.

Me too Bob - too far North to join in the fun. MrsFudged is pining for her Derbyshire homeland, maybe it's time to contemplate a move south before next summer's festival season?

You've heard of the man in the iron mask, haven't you?

I wear the basket to protect mothers and babies from severe trauma, but I've noticed that it sometimes has the opposite effect.

LOL - like it Bob. And, somehow, it suits you

Thought it was about time I plugged my favourite artist. Andy Goldsworthy's an environmental sculptor who works in stone, wood, leaves, ice, snow - just about any natural resource he can use. He also does an impressive line in drystane dykes. Some of his work's transitional, some more permanent. If you're into this sort of stuff (and I think I know or two of you who will be) he's well worth looking up - there are plenty of resources on t'Internet.

My avatar's a piece he did by laying rowan leaves around a hole (can't remember if it was a hole in the ground or a hole in a tree). I like the work he does with leaves... very calming. I like the rowan too - a fine tree and my mother's maiden name It doesn't show up too well here, so the link on my sig goes to a page with a full size photo.

You knew there wouldn't be a short explanation
