Very imprssive, like you say Fudged, that avatar Bob has does suit him...matches your humour Bob...

Very impressed with Andy Goldsworthy's work....I love that sort of thing as you know...;) It's all the more incredible that the work he does is temporary in that nature reclaims it...I'll try not to get too deep....

    Hi Fudged, nice pic.

I really like Andy's work, but how can he bear to create things so beautiful that will exist for such a short space in time?
On the other hand, I suppose there is balance ,with the permanence of the drystane walling.

    Just thinking out loud.

Well - how was it then?
As no-ones reported back on the weekend, I can only assume that you are either still swimming home, or you haven't got rid of the hangovers yet. ;)

Hi Bob, you beat me to it, I was just about to post as yesterday was spent sorting out web stuff.

It was great. Weather wasn't too bad apart from Saturday....

Kelvin brought along a really nice Elderflower Wheat Beer (he'll correct me if I got that wrong)....very smooth. He promised me I wouldn't get pissed on it ;). I can't blame Kelvin's beer but I did have a bit of a hangover on the last day but nothing a cuppa and a bite to eat couldn't sort out.

    The highlights for me were:

Blabbermouth: I interviewed him a while back when I started playing his album on the station. He's an amazing guy. I spoke to his girlfriend and I didn't realise why he was called Blabbermouth. It's not something you're aware of until you see him live....he improvises on the spot! He makes up words, makes up his own language (I thought it was Spanish then realised he was making it all up...incredible!) I saw him on Sunday but missed his Saturday night performance which was lyrically a bit more adult orientated...he took the roof off by all accounts and made a big impression on the audience!

Naomi Bedford: She is a Brighton based alt-country singer/songwriter...She's lovely, played with Paul Simmonds, ex-Men They Coundn't Hang. You'll be hearing some of her tunes on the station soon. We had a nice talk on Saturday morning, unfortunately she had the first slot on Friday which was fairly quiet as a lot of people were in Town (There were two performance marquees on the site this year as well as the gigs around Chepstow).

Another couple of Singer/Songwriters which were more Contemp/alt-folk were Wilcox and Brooks. Again you'll be hearing them on the station shortly.

Tom Bliss put on a great performance including one song that used just place names to tell a story....very clever...

Keith Donnelly had every one in stitches as usual...

The late night sessions were a great laugh and were probably where I endured the most liquid damage. Met some great people and of course was entertained by plenty of Morris dancers....the best by far were Beltane Border Morris and Widders...Very different and great fun...some pics will follow soon...although I don't think there are any of me...

I'm now looking forward to the Big Chill Festival...I'm going to be really spoilt by the acts on this one...:)

Just watched the video I took at Two Rivers .God I'm crap at photography as well as everything else.Nothing new there then:)
Thanks Alex for not mentioning how shite I am at the guitar.Glad you enjoyed the beer.
Must remember next year to get people at the camp ground tramping back and forth to the toilets etc It would have been good to get Alex with a hang over.
Got a short extract of Wilcox and Brooks .Brain was very friendly at the camp ground as was Naomi Bedford.I'm still bloody livid with myself for missing her set .
Managed to capture two songs of Rock and Gravel and one by James Hollings worth .
Very short capture of Rory Ellis as the light was going but what a voice.(my exuse for being wrecked)
The workshop by Tom Bliss was excellent .Thanks Tom.
Captured a couple of Morris and bellydancers just watch where my eyes were:)
I'll slap it on utube and post a link .
Oh the one shot of the river and cliffs were by the Bridge Inn if you look very caerfully you will see the Peragrin falcons.

Sounds like a good time was had by all.
Sorry I missed it, it sounds like my kind of a do. I had to drink single malt all by myself ;0(
Put me down for next year. (Erm.... when I say put me down....)

Forgot to say Blabbermouth's girlfriend took some video at the Fest and I'll be hopefully posting that up shortly. Includes his performance in the evening in the beer garden which went down a treat...esp. when he started making up that language he does...
