Those words ring true today as they did in 1975! Here is a clip from a great documentary made by Derrick Knight in 1965, in this clip Louis Killen turns up at the Family's home where Anne Briggs is also sat all having a cuppa...love it! The cip is taken from the documentary "travelling for a living" which can be found on The Watersons "Mighty River of Song" Boxset which has previously unreleased material, a 52 page colour booklet profusely illustrated with extensive notes and a full discograpghy. A great collection, I have it... |

Another fantastic vintage album. You can never get too much of The Watersons! This album is "for pence and spicy ale" released in 1975. A.L. Lloyd's original notes for the LP release: "Here's a welcome return! After a silence regretted by all, Lal, Mike and Norma Waterson are together again, with a new member, Martin Carthy, replacing John Harrison who has gone his own way. Many try but none can equal their sound. Hear it yourself.
