Introducing Tom Palmer and his self titled new album - A yorkshireman with an amazingly stong and gravel-edged voice with powerful lyrics to match. Due out on March 17th this is a winning choice of an album to be the first release on Phil Beer's new independent label, Chudleigh Roots.
This self-titled album was produced by the talented Phil Beer of "Show of Hands" fame and includes support from Steve knightley, double bassist Miranda Sykes, Fiddle player Jackie Oates (who you can also hear on the station here in another as "Wistman's Wood) and Tom's daughter, Holly Palmer on vocals...and...like he wouldn't be involved with all his talent...Phil Beer on instruments from fiddle to dobro and laud. Oh, it's Tom's faithful Deerhound, Jack, that also features on the album cover with Tom. This is a wonderful album that will go down a real treat as it already is judging by the feedback I've been hearing. Pay a visit to the links below to get your hands on the album and to find out more about Tom. http://www.tom-palmer.co.uk/index.htm

Tom is well travelled and this has clearly been an influence upon him. A self styled travelling troubadour having spent long periods travelling, including a long nine month tour of Australia and then on to Asia. He now lives in Cornwall. His influences range from James Taylor to John Martyn, Richard Thompson to Jackson Browne. His talents don't stop at his singing and wordsmithing, he is also an accomplished accoustic and spanish guitar and mondacello player.
