for details "This is a new collaboration between Kate Badcock (flute and whistle), Roddy Johnstone (fiddle, whistle and vocals) and Julian Marley (guitar). The result is stunning - a European East-meets-West musical melt-down. Here is an eclectic world - a brimming bounty of infectious tunes rich in the frenetic rhythms of eastern Europe, coupled with the more familiar sounds of the west. Macedonian, Bulgarian, klezma, Scottish, Breton music - even the occasional Scottish doric song - they're all there! Here is, indeed, a musical equivalent to ylem (the matter from which the elements were formed after the big-bang) - a great fusion!"
They weren't kidding, this is a very clever album and I love the mix of eastern european and western folk. Brilliant!
