We introduced Chloe Foy as a name to watch back in 2012 so I admit something of a personal pleasure to be premiering her video for Are We There Yet, the title track of her new EP to be released on Friday 12th May. In those intervening years her sound has matured considerably, and whilst comparisons to others may be made, it is clear from listening to her EP that she has a unique quality, one that can be heard in her vocal delivery and which is heightened by delicate musical arrangements.

This song was written quite a while ago when I had gone through some pretty tough stuff in life and it’s about finally arriving at that moment when everything feels like it’s okay. It explores what it means to be in a good place, and how I’m always aware of how fragile that can be. With that in mind, the video is loosely based on a journey, with a bit of bike riding for good measure. It’s always a challenge to create something on a budget and I have a history of clumsy bike riding, so it was risky, but I think we pulled it off. And, I would just like to add a big thank you to the talented team at Fluxx films for directing and producing the video.
