As many of you will know, through November and December we featured a series of guest posts from each member of The Shee about Continuum – their new project which marks their ten-year milestone in their action-packed careers. This Friday will see its launch at Celtic Connections (tickets and details here) and they very kindly shared this behind-the-scenes promo video of them rehearsing for the big day:
They had this message to pass on to our readers of whom I know many are fans:
As you will know from our regular blog posts on Folk Radio UK, this gig promises to be very special indeed – the six composers, invited to write original pieces for the band to perform, will introduce their commission before The Shee debut them. The audience will also get to hear something from each of the composers, too.
If you can’t make the launch on Friday, all is not lost: the band will be appearing in Leeds on Saturday 27 February (details of the Opera North event here) and there will be further appearances throughout the year. And, of course, look out for the album which will document the Continuum journey…
We wish them all the best for the big night, a very lucky Neil McFadyen from Folk Radio UK will be there to witness it all.
