Our Song of the Day is from Scottish singer, songwriter and harpist Josie Duncan who originally hails from Stornoway on the Isle of Lewis, in the Outer Hebrides. She’s currently based in Glasgow where she’s studying Scottish Music at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
The Mary Jane was taught to Josie by her mother, Avril and the song is also known as ‘The Coll Boat Song‘. She’s certainly a name we’ll be keeping a watch out for.
