The Rails, made up of Kami Thompson and partner, former Pretenders guitarist James Walbourne, have released a free Live in Session EP which you can download from Amazon (UK). Mike Davies reviewed their debut release ‘Fair Warning’ (read it here) and made the point that references to Kami’s parents, folk music legends Richard and Linda Thompson, are bound to crop up but the couple certainly don’t suffer from comparison. Quite the opposite as witnessed by Island Record’s move to resurrect the classic 60s pink label just for them.
