Dublin based guitarist and composer Cian Nugent recently dropped by the NPR studios whilst on a short U.S. tour supporting Angel Olsen to perform a great Tiny Desk Concert. The steel-string bending guru has garnered some very respectable compliments, none more so than from the great Jack Rose who credited him as being one of his favourite new guitar players in an interview with Arthur magazine before his death.
Harry Wheeler reviewed his last release, the 7″ Hire Purchase, for Folk Radio UK which you can read here. Cian Nugent will be appearing at Sin-Eater Festival (20-22 June) this year alongside a number of FRUK favourites including Alasdair Roberts, Dead Rat Orchestra, Cath & Phil Tyler and many more.
