We have an exclusive première of the new video from Tim Kasher for the song ‘You Scare Me To Death’ which is also our Song of the Day. It’s taken from the recently released ‘Adult Film‘ album released by Saddle Creek. As well as starring in it Tim also directed the film in which he re-enters an old home where the memories of the past come back to haunt him with an uncanny vividness.
The song frames the video perfectly as Tim sings of the fears of a growing obsession and personal insecurities which arise from deep within: “the more I love someone the more the horror grows…surely you’ll leave me yet”. Whilst the future unfolds on the video you see a man still trapped in the torment and anxiety of his own past.
Kasher seems to never rest. since 1997 he has written and released 12 full-length albums both as a solo artist and with his bands Cursive and The Good Life and has criss crossed North America and Europe countless times on tour. His newest album, sophomore solo effort ‘Adult Film‘ was released in October of last year by Saddel Creek. Kasher has become known throughout his career for insightful, literate, and candid songwriting, and his solo work and albums with Cursive and The Good Life have been praised by Rolling Stone, Esquire, The New York Times among many others.
