Ten Strings & a Goat Skin are a young award winning Canadian trio who hail from the North shore of Prince Edward Island. Whilst their music is informed by traditional tunes from the Irish and Francophone cultures it is their ability to infuse that with both original and modern twists that have brought them into the limelight taking inspiration from the likes of Flook, LAU, Solas and Kila whose tunes Liffey Reel and Fir Bolg feature on their new debut album Corbeau.
Their hard touring schedule has seen them touted as “the busiest and hardest working band on Prince Edward Island, ….playing seemingly everywhere…” but they also now how to enjoy themselves and are known for their humour and great audience engagement. Here’s a taster of their sound:
