This was the fourth time Pete Greenwood had been on my show and I loved every minute, Pete is one of my favourite singer songwriters as well as covering some great songs he makes them his own and betters some of them too.
I have known Pete for a few years after we played on the same bill at a gig in London in about 2007 so it was great to catch up with him and listen to him play and get to talk about stuff like snooker, planes, rhubarb, raspberries, weirs, Yorkshire, trains, model railway and the Yorkshire ripper! Pete’s first album Siren is a stunning work of art and I totally recommend it. His second album is out soon and is just as great as ‘The 88’ (a song that Noel Gallagher said he wished he had written) which is out as single soon as well, he does a great live version of it on this show.
I’ll also be playing tracks from:
Nick Edward Harris
The Moon the Son and the Daughter
Wicker man sound track
