On the latest Bob’s Folk Show – The Live Sessions your host Bob Meyer will be featuring in session: Bard, Gill Sandell, Ben Jordan and Trent Miller.

Bard
I loved having Bard on my show! They are one of the bands that I had not seen live but had heard so much about and Bards album The Spring Time Fool is up there with my favourite albums of the year. But as you will hear on the show I put them on the spot on the first song!

Gill Sandell
Gill Sandell is another artist that I was really looking forward to meeting and hearing and she did not disappoint me at all and this was such a warm and calm session she mellowed me right out.

Ben Jordan
Ben Jordan had been on the road all day and we only just got to the Radio Wey studio in time for the show! As some one at Waterloo train station told him to got to Kent not Middlesex were I live!!! But we made it just. I saw Ben play live at The Lantern Society folk club a few days after the show and he had the audience in the palm of his hand a truly great performer.

Trent Miller
Trent Miller is a bit of a legend around the folk and roots scene in London he is a very moving strong song writer and performer I have seen him play many times and he has been on my show five times and every time he has moved me in some way. His first album Cerberus is just stunning in it’s low fi tones and it’s one of the best albums I have heard in years and his second album is pretty dam good to and what I have heard of his third is pure magic.
