Reknowned bass player Danny Thompson who played with the likes of John Martyn and Richard Thompson as well as a founding member of Pentangle reveals that the only artist he ever played electric bass guitar for was none other than Roy Orbison for which he received £40 per week, not to be scoffed at back then having just come out of the army and totally broke!

Danny has a new compilation album out on 24th September titled ‘Connected‘ which you can order direct to get a signed copy (orders before 23rd September)
