Withered Hand is heading out on tour in September which will take in Salford, Cardiff, London, Sheffield and Newcastle (dates and ticket links below). Withered Hand also features on a new compilation: ‘Whatever Gets You Through the Night‘ which featured as a live show, film, book and album. The album features new work by over two dozen of Scotland’s most distinctive writers and musicians, all of whom were invited to create something inspired by the hours between midnight and 4am. Withered Hand features twice including a live show (A New Case) which premiered at the Arches in Glasgow this year. Other Folk Radio UK favourites include Rachel Sermanni, RM Hubbert and Meursalt.
The album is available as a download or as limited edition package (1000 copies) which as well as the album download includes a beautifully designed book with text by David Greig, Alan Bissett, Stef Smith, Kieran Hurley, Annie Griffin, Alan Spence, Kirstin Innes, Isabel Wright, David Ireland, Skye Loneragan and Cora Bissett, plus lyrics for the songs on the album and images from the film, recording sessions and rehearsals.
