Douglas Dare is a piano based indie singer / songwriter who studied music at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts where he graduated last year. He hails from the market town of Bridport in Dorset and quotes Patrick Wolf, Rufus Wainwright, Thom Yorke and PJ Harvey as influences. He also takes inspiration from the solo projects of Jack Steadman (Bombay Bicycle Club) and Daniel Rossen (Grizzly Bear) from which he has grown his own individual style.
After watching the couple of videos below you’ll see why we’re keen to intoduce him. His unique and individual style combined with intelligent lyrics and stunning vocals give him a definite WOW factor. Definitely a name to watch for!
