Trelawnyd Folk at The Hall – Saturday 9th June

in Music News

You can find Trelawnyd in North Wales Near Rhyl, The Record Journal have been running concerts there since October 2009. The venue has received high praise across the folk circuit for it’s warm friendly atmosphere and cupcakes! To celebrate their eventful and auspicious musical journey they are putting on a day long celebration to bring back some of those artists who have graced their stage.

The main venue fo this event will be the Hall, but they will also be expanding and working with the Crown Inn (Trelawnyd’s village inn) to stage various events at times on the Saturday. The venue for the House Party will be The Still House, described by Michael Johnson of The Burns Unit as a ‘Lord of the Rings House’ (either because he liked it or because it is not that big!).

The whole thing kicks off at midday and ends at 10:30pm. The profits from this event go to charity and it promises to be an incredible day with a fantastic lineup:

Dougie MacLean
Jim Moray
Kris Drever
The Old Dance School
Fay Hield
Lucy Ward
Dean Owens
The Bear Beats Band
Blair Dunlop
Becca and the Broken Biscuits
