Many of you may recall Lorcán Mac Mathúna‘s project titled Northern Lights which draws on the “historic affiliations of Gaeldom and Scandanavia” to create a unique and intriguing cultural dialogue. We loved the album release which we reviewed back in Janaury this year (read the review here), and we don’t appear to be alone in this praise. Since taking the project on the road Northern Lights has been garnering high praise as their recent Belgium tour video shows on which Mari Boine (well known Norwegian Sami musician) admits to also being a big fan. Great to see all their hard work paying off!
