More James Yorkston news thanks to Jon Hopkins. Woozy with Cider is one of my favourite ‘after hours’ James Yorkston tracks…one for the very late quiet hours…the fact that it is all spoken word make it all the more memorable and moving.

It was released as a single back in 2007 on Domino Records. The 12″ version featured a number of re-mixes including “ex-Beta Bander King Biscuit Time, South London dubstep visionary Kode 9, Quiet Village and the cosmic vibe of the Dusty Cabinets workout”.

It also included a mix from a top notch Fence Collective member Jon Hopkins who more of you probably know of now (thanks to the success of Diamond Mine with King Creosote) than you did back then…Jon has very kindly uploaded it onto Soundcloud for you all to enjoy. The remix, if anything, gives even more focus to the words of Yorkston in a beautiful way, as usual Jon displays an uncanny knack of rebuilding the perfect canvas…
