Finsbury Smith is very much the modern day folk singer, what he likes to term ‘folking’: singing about the real world, real issues that touch raw nerves that would rather be left alone. His gravelled voice and early Dylan sounding chords have a warmth and sincerity that exudes charm and veils his sharpened lyrical sword.

His soon to be released single titled ‘Let’s See’ takes a gutsy call to arms look at the current banking crisis with the conclusion: ‘Let’s see heads roll, let’s see faces drop off Canary Wharf’. Sometimes you just have to say what you mean…
