With a sound more reminiscent of the deep gothic south of 16 Horsepower than south London, 22 year old Jamie N Common transports his mind to a bygone era drawing influences from Blues, Gospel, Swamp Rock and Big Band to produce music that sits neatly alongside the desolation row of Cash, Waits and Cave.
His EP, The Baron, was recorded to tape at Eastcote Studios London, produced by Eliot James and Jamie himself, the record captures the haunting ballad atmosphere that will no doubt will be an iron fist for his growing popularity. It will be launched this Monday October 17th at The Old Queens Head, London.
He will be playing a number of dates supporting Spector on the LuvLuvLuv tour this October:
18th- Roadhouse, Manchester
19th- Start The Bus, Bristol
20th- Shacklewell Arms, London
