Weaving the Land is the first in a new series of mixes from Folk Radio UK. The mixes explore traditional music and its connection to the land. Whether it is recalling memories of it or the longing for return to the homeland. The first mix opens to Irish poet Seamus Heaney and features many other great artists including: Liam O’flynn, Kathryn Tickell, Kris Drever, Sarah-Jane Summers, Tim Dennehy, Julie Fowlis, Dick Gaughan and more.

high twigs plait and crown it,
the queen of trees.

Hi Will
It’s a mix I did from a number of different albums as well as mashing some tracks over Seamus Heaney’s poetry reading.
Nice quote Neil!
