Laura Marling & Mumford and Sons get Brit Awards

To be honest, I normally avoid the Brit Awards like the plague…until last night that is….my face was a huge grin when I saw Laura Marling get Best Female Singer and Mumford and Sons, Best Album (Sigh No More). I can still remember Laura sending us her first album which we played back in 2008 and we began playing Mumford and Sons in mid 2009!

So despite the whole Brit Awards thing being a pile of pants…I’m personally very pleased for the Mumford boys and Laura! I don’t think this is any real sign of change in the music industry…there will continue to be commercial awards that do not do British music the justice it deserves. Small independent labels and artists will continue to be brushed aside.

The success of Laura Marling and Mumford and Sons is about real talent and a strong fan base that recognise good music.

Here’s a few of our favourite vids to express my grin!
