I met Bryan one night at a dinner party at Mychal’s house. After dinner we all went down the KEXP where he was doing an In Studio. From the moment I watched him perform that night, I feel in love with his music and the next day I proposed this piece. A week later we were in boats rowing around as the sun was setting. Mychal doing back-ups and rowing, Ryan paddling me around them. What you see above is the last take of this song we did that night. Somehow we all knew we had it as soon as the camera cut and we started to head back to the dock.
After shooting on Cliffs Along The Sea we were paddling back to shore and Mychal started playing for us. A sort of bonus for the evening that we were so happy with.
