Although not officially announced, Matt LaMotte of Interscope Records has announced on a blog that Karen O and the Kids is now a Grammy Nominee having replaced the Miley Cyrus song “The Climb” (from Hannah Montana) which has been disqualified…what a God damn shame…OK laughing over

Great news for Karen O and the Kids whose track “All is Love” features in the film “Where the Wild Things Are” which was directed by Spike Jonze (whom also maintains the blog the announcement was made on). The track is now nominated for Best Song Written for Motion Picture, Television or Other Visual Media. Competition includes submissions from Slumdog Millionaire.

Strangely enough The Climb has been chosen by Simon Cowell to be performed by the X Factor winner this weekend…just goes to show you doesn’t it? There is justice…

You can hear Karen O and the Kids on our Frukie stream.
