This is obviously a very difficult time for many people with the recession and post recovery from Christmas. The station has also felt the pinch in a drop in donations coupled with a rise in listeners. In order to get through this we are reducing the number of listener slots by approx 30% on our Celtic Roots stream and 50% on our Frukie stream today in order to match what we receive in donations.
The upshot of this is that listeners will not be able to tune in when we are up to capacity which will happen more frequently with this reduction in place. This is the first time we have ever had to reduce the number of listener slots and we hope to be able to increase slots once donations pick up again.
